In 1982 , we brought forth upon Anushaktinagar a new notion, conceived in shrewd innocence and dedicated to the principle that " We are born to Perform" . The notion was KALADARPAN and the PLAYS of this whirlwind began to tickle Anushaktinagars funny bone and make people think on socio - political issues. We never dreamt that behind the façade of giggling teenage pranks and college gags , rags ,... there lay so many dramatists , script writers and budding artists! It is our fond hope that KALADARPAN should become the forum of communication for the talented people. It must mirror their achievements, voice their problems and echo their aspirations. KALADARPAN IS NOT JUST A THEATRE GROUP. It's a forum to match every temperament. All round fun , jibe... for the star you are and the star you want to be. BORN FREE , BORN FAMOUS . BLESSED WITH TALENT. Go ahead and flaunt yourself . It's time others took notice of you . In the end , we all are here to play our roles and we are born actors .
MUMBAI FILM ACADEMY and KALADARPAN have come together to create a hindi short film named YEH MANZILEIN HAI KAUN SI ? for the International Film Festival .
